CONCERT SCHEDULE
The schedule will soon be posted, and an email with details on scheduling and tech times will go out shortly.

PERFORMERS
We are asking performers to register so that we can track the number of conference participants. Performers do not pay a registration fee to participate in the conference. If performers wish to attend the banquet, they do have to pay particular fee. Please let your performers know.

PERFORMANCE MATERIALS

Please remember to send us updated concert quality media if you did not do this as part of the submission process or have made changes to your work. Submit fixed-media as data WAV files, named as described in the submission guidelines; we'll be playing back all fixed-media (audio and video) from a central computer in the performance venues. Composers/performers are responsible for providing their own interfaces, laptops and software for running realtime electronics.

PRE-CONFERENCE KYMA WORKSHOP

There will be a Pre-SEAMUS Conference Workshop on Kyma, led by Symbolic Sound’s President, Carla Scaletti. It will take place Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 10 am to 6 pm (w/ 1 hour lunch break). There is no charge to conference participants, but space is limited so please pre-register by March 15 as part of Conference registration (Step 2).
Description: A one-day course on sound design, composition & live performance in the context of the Kyma sound design language. The course will delve into material not covered in Kyma X Revealed. If you are curious about Kyma, the course offers a chance to see Kyma in action, solving sound design and musical problems. If you are Kyma veteran, the course offers some new approaches to teaching Kyma and to using Kyma in your own work (plus a glimpse at some newly developed synthesis algorithms you haven’t heard yet!) If you are new to Kyma, this course can serve as an opportunity to learn more about how to use Kyma.

BULLETIN BOARD
There is an electronic bulletin board for making contact with others about ride sharing and room sharing. http://seamus2010.vanillaforums.com/

GETTING FROM MSP TO ST. CLOUD

The merger of Northwest and Delta airlines has resulted in flights from Minneapolis to St. Cloud being eliminated. There are, however, Executive Express shuttles from MSP to St. Cloud. Check the Travel and Lodging page in the coming weeks at the conference website for more details about SEAMUS specific shuttles: http://seamus2010.stcloudstate.edu/travel.html.

HEADPHONE CONCERTS
Each night of the conference will feature Headphone Concerts, so remember to bring your headphones this year.

CD/DVD TABLES
There will be tables for conference participants to display and market their own CDs and DVDs. These will not be managed by the conference hosts, but the space is being made freely available to registered participants.

Conference Progam nearly set!

After a busy December in which we coordinated the evaluation of nearly 400 submissions, we are close to finalizing the conference schedule. We are very excited about the conference, and we've been able to schedule three nights of headphone concerts and the banquet is shaping up to be a fantastic value!

Mi Famiglia in downtown St. Cloud will be hosting the banquet. They have a breathtaking facility, and we've chosen a menu that should satisfy everyone. Be sure to let us know ASAP if you have a special need - they will be happy to work with us to make sure everyone is happy...and there is an open bar!

This year's banquet will be held on Friday, April 9th, after the concert honoring the SEAMUS Award Winner.
